Two Years vs. Eight Days

The president of a multi-location firm approached Wisdom with a frustrating challenge: Solve a mail server problem that had befuddled their current technical team for over two years. Wisdom performed an on-site network assessment, uncovering and resolving multiple flaws in the design of the firm’s network. End result: Wisdom defeated this two-year-old dragon in eight days.

No Internet, No Productivity

One day we received a phone call from the chief financial officer (CFO) of a Chicago-area company. Their Internet connection was down, and twenty users were unable to do their jobs because of it.  The previous network consultant was unable to get the connection working after several weeks of trying.

Wisdom met with the CFO on the same day he called. Twenty-four hours later, we had a temporary Internet connection up and operational. Ten days later, the client had full, high-speed Internet access, secured behind a high-security firewall. Today the client raves about Wisdom’s rapid response and effective problem solving. And after five years, this remains one of Wisdom’s treasured clients.

No Password, No Data

A late night phone call introduced Wisdom to a company President with an IT problem, the kind of problem we are often called to solve. The company’s on-site tech guru had left the company without sharing critical security information and passwords for the company’s database server.

Using “ethical hacking” skills, Wisdom gained complete access to the network, thereby rescuing years of critical business data. Six years later, we have grown this client’s environment to include four application servers, public and private Web sites, and secure WiFi for visiting users.

You Can’t Do That

One of Wisdom’s medical clients decided to open a second office so that they could provide better service to patients. Wisdom was asked to create a way for a critical piece of software to share data between the two offices in a seamless fashion.

Calls to the software vendor were met with the response: “You can’t do that.” Wisdom devised a way to make the software work in the medical environment, proving once and for all that you can do that. The software vendor later remarked that Wisdom had built their most advanced installation in the United States, and the software vendor has gone on to recommend Wisdom’s solution to other offices across the country.
