Certifications

Certification separates the hobbyist from the professional.

Clients engage Wisdom Consulting Group for our technical expertise. For prospective clients, businesses that have not yet worked with us directly, one way to measure our expertise is by examining our certifications.

The following technical certifications are held by members of Wisdom Consulting Group:

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). MCSE is the highest certification awarded by Microsoft to local area networking professionals. To earn the designation, the candidate must demonstrate proficiency with one or more of Microsoft’s flagship network operating systems (NOS), Windows NT Server, Windows Server 2000, and Windows Server 2003, and one of the client operating systems. And, since Microsoft desires to dominate the NOS market, they require all MCSE’s to be proficient in NetWare to Microsoft migrations before granting this certification. MCSE’s must also master multiple electives depending on their area of specialization.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional, Internet Specialist (MCP+I). Internet Specialists are trained to design and maintain Internets and Intranets. Persons who earn this certification have a thorough understanding of Windows NT Server, TCP/IP, and Internet Information Server.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional, Product Specialist (MCP). MCP’s are persons who have demonstrated proficiency with at least one Microsoft operating system, including Windows NT Server, Windows NT Workstation, Windows 98, or Windows 95. Most MCP’s earn the designation as a stepping stone to the more advanced certifications.
