More Worlds to Conquer
The large hadron collider is the biggest science experiment in human history. The LHC failed last year. Yet is important for us to keep moving forward with the experiment.
Why? Why engage in basic science? The answer could be summed up in a quote from a British scientist, Sir Humphry Davy
Nothing is so dangerous to the progress of the human mind than to assume that our views of science are ultimate. That there are no mysteries in nature, that our triumphs are complete, and that there are no new worlds to conquer.
