Stroke of Insight

Neuro-scientist Jill Bolte Taylor was presented with a unique opportunity to study the brain when she suffered a stroke. Her initial reaction: “This is so cool! How many brain scientists have an opportunity to study their own brain from the inside out?” Eventually, she realized that she needed help. Dr. Taylor has recovered, and she shares her experience in this video from TED.com.
In Dr. Taylor’s words: “I watched my brain completely deteriorate in its ability to process information”. Fortunately, her recovery allows her to share her experience with the rest of us. Welcome back Dr. Taylor!
