At the 2007 Web 2.0 Expo, Google CEO Eric Schmidt said that Google Docs does not compete with desktop office suites. Schmidt argues that Google’s offering delivers fewer functions for a targeted niche of collaborating users. Are these really different markets?
Nice idea, but what if you’re working off-line, far away from an internet connection? I’ll stick with my trusty Dell laptop and my *old* MS Word/Excel for now.
